This is a short demo version, the final version is approximately 11 minutes long.
Through this series of abstracts I really enjoyed working with fluid paints and inks. In this piece I wanted to push the technique a lot further. I have to work fast and spontaneously to capture the movement of the paint as it flows, repels, attracts and combines together. Instead of controlling the process I needed to let go of the reigns and allow the organic forms and shapes create and inspire the compositions on their own. In this way I become the observer; I orchestrate the process and then step back, see what happens and record the event unfolding in front of me. It was awe inspiring. The results are then combined together with other painted and animated elements as layers in the computer to create the finished work.
It's my finale, for a very personal body of work. Part four of my four part series. An introspective journey that has been over 4 years in the making. A labor of love. I am humbled to be sending it out into the world. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
